Penelope Walker worked for over thirty-five years alongside Dr Crane as an abstractor, editor and co-author. Sixty years ago, in the Hull house now proudly bearing a blue plaque, Dr Crane commenced the task of recording bee boles and set up the Register which Penny still maintains and develops today.
