Abstract
This year, the world famous Rothamsted Experimental Station in the UK celebrates the 150th anniversary of its founding as a centre for agricultural research; 1993 is also the 70th anniversary of the start of bee research at Rothamsted. In our first article', we traced the beginnings and growth of agricultural and apicultural investigations at this institute. In this second article, we highlight the main research interests and achievements of eminent bee scientists at Rothamsted over the past seven decades, focusing on four main areas: pheromones, pathology, pollination and agrochemicals.
