Abstract
The rock bee (Apis dorsata) contributes 3-3S% of the total honey production of Pakistan. It occurs throughout the country, except in the high hills and deserts, and migrates 3-5 times during the year (Fig. I). Its migratory behaviour severely reduces honey production. This article describes preliminary trials made to control migration by a combination of requeening with superior queens and feeding them in times of dearth.
