Abstract

Good honey crops depend on the conjunction of strong populations of honeybees and abundant nectar flows. The first of these factors is essentially within the control of the beekeeper, the second largely beyond it. Any measures that can be taken to increase the nectar supply are of considerable interest to beekeepers.
