Ancient Romans were familiar with the art of beekeeping. There are many Roman literary works that give advice on beekeeping, and even the Roman law regulated some of the matters relating to that practice, as can be attested by preserved legal fragments. An article on this subject submitted by Petar Radošević is slightly too long and specialised for Bee World. David Smith reviews the paper here but the full article is available to read or download from the IBRA website.
