Abstract
The widespread losses of honey bees around the world in recent years, especially in the USA, have attracted great media attention, and stimulated much scientific research. It is, however, by no means certain that all colony losses, even within the USA, conform to the specific set of symptoms termed "Colony Collapse Disorder" there, and colony losses elsewhere may have entirely different causes.
