In 2003 Jane produced a little book called Traditional Welsh Honey Recipes that proved to be well received and sold out quickly. Inspired by this and by the versatility and potential of honey as a cooking ingredient she is now bringing out a much bigger and fully illustrated book.

Jane ‘s interest in cooking and in bees goes back to her childhood. Then, in rural Wales, her mother's home cooking was the norm and convenience food meant eggs from chickens, milk from goats and honey from bees kept at the bottom of the garden.

All the recipes in the book have the ingredients and quantities precisely and clearly laid out while the cooking instructions are in easy to follow steps. Indeed,  the style makes it obvious that each recipe has been prepared and tried out before hand: this is the work of a practical cook in a real kitchen.

For convenience the recipes are grouped into the following themes:
