The March editorial, being the first of the year, took the opportunity to look at a number of anniversaries and developments that have had a profound effect on apiculture as we know it. However, from IBRA’s perspective it is June 2012 that marks a crucial centenary in our history. Indeed it is an event that should be celebrated throughout the world of beekeeping.
