The dark months of winter are now behind us and the “closed season” for beekeeping, at least for the higher latitudes of the northern hemisphere, is almost over. In those months many of you will have put time to good use reading the ever increasing number of books and articles on apiculture. Many will have secretly vowed that this is the year when they are “going to make an effort” in order to improve their beekeeping skills.
