Abstract
The first part of this article was published in the previous issue of Bee World, and reviewed beekeeping in New Zealand - the bees and hives used, the composition of the industry and management methods used by commercial apiarists. The article concludes by looking at the infrastructure supporting the beekeeping industry - extension, training, research, regulations and industry organizations. This section also reviews the status of honey bee pests, predators and diseases in New Zealand.
