Abstract
A method enabling the production of large quantities of Bacillus larvae spores was developed. Concentrated cultures of spores were obtained by immersing regenerated cellulose dialysis tubes in a suitable culture medium. The spores were produced from previously identified and characterized pure cultures of B. larvae for which sporulation had been poor or difficult in normal culture media. Sporulation of 18 strains was compared using 4 different methods.
