A note on the migration of Apis dorsata in the Andaman and Nicobar islands

Abstract
The Andaman and Nicobar Group of Islands, Union Territory of India, (6-14°N and 92-94°E) are situated in the Bay of Bengal (Fig. 1). The total land area is about 8300 sq kIn of which more than 80% is covered with evergreen, deep tropical forest, predominantly Dipterocarpus-Pterocarpus type, with shrubs and creepers. There are only two distinct seasons, the rainy (May-November) and the summer (December April); there is no winter.
