Abstract
Gymnopodium floribundum is a shrub or small tree, 2-7 m tall, belonging to the Polygonaceae family. Its dark brown bark has cracks all over and it peels off easly. Branches are numerous and fragile. Leaves on very short petioles are alternated, simple and fasiculated, glossy, light green, mostly 2-3.5 cm long, glabrous or with a few hairs along the veins.
