Partly because there has been no time in the week that I could satisfactorily devote to this task and partly because of the need to seek inspiration I am writing on a Sunday. Not any Sunday, but the Sunday that falls on 24th January 1999 and it is the date, rather than the day of the week, that I hope will provide the inspiration.
