Abstract

Until fairly recently, there was some discussion over the classification of Apis laboriosa and if it was a separate species from A. dorsata honey bee are distinct. Many of the studies on A. laboriosa have been carried out in Nepal, where its distribution does not appear to overlap with that of A. dorsata, which lives at lower altitudes. .
