Beekeeping, bee science and bee technology are international. Advance depends on interchange of ideas and the sharing of experience. The execution of this requires access to publications, to libraries and, increasingly, the Internet. But, whatever method is used, the process is undoubtedly enhanced by personal contact and, failing that, access to a good journal which also unites and sustains its readers.
