Abstract
Beekeeping in Croatia has a long history and tradition going back to 1288. The Republic of Croatia is situated between 42° 23' and 46° 33' N and 13° 30' and 19° 27' E. According to its geographic position the Republic of Croatia is a Middle-European, Mediterranean country partly positioned in the Pannonian, Dinaridian Adriatic and Prealpean regions. Such a geographic position separates the national territory into three different large regions: Pannonian, Mountain and Mediterranean region with a rich and various flora.
